Welcome
to our December Tech Update. In this months newsletter we talk
about security, a new collective that DP Computing is part of,
our regular Out & About section and lastly links to our latest
blog articles.
Security
With another large
company (Uber) hitting the headlines after being hacked how can
a small business protect itself from the same fate? Business cannot
just rely on security software and must implement a multi layered
approach and include corporate grade security software, a proper
hardware based firewall, cloud filtering of email as well as local
and cloud based backups. Contact us or check out our blog article
for more details - http://dpcomputing.com.au/blog/multi-layered-approach-security/
Always be carefully
with what emails you open and what websites you visit. Also if
you believe one of your associates has sent you a dodgy email
ring that person back - don't email them back as there has been
reports of the actual hacker replying back to emails.
