Hi,
I hope you
all have had a great Christmas and all the best for 2020!
We officially
start back on the 6th of January, but there are techs available
for any emergencies in the meantime.
This month
we have articles (see below) on how to clean up your computer
for the new year, how to select a printer for buisiness use, protecting
yourself from the latest scams and how tradies can leverage technology
for their benefit.
With the warm
weather we have been having, your computers may be overheating
and need an internal cleanout - contact
us for details.
Remember that
Windows 7 is end of life on the 14/1/20. See our website
here for more details on what this entails and if you need
to upgrade your computers please let us know ASAP!
Stay cool
and catch you all next month.
Cheers
David Perkovic

Safer
Internet Day |
We’ve
started the countdown to Safer Internet Day!
On Tuesday
11 February 2020, DP Computing is pleased to be supporting the
work of Australia’s eSafety Commissioner by spreading online
safety messages and promoting the positive use of digital technology.
Safer Internet
Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the role we can
all play in creating a better and safer internet for our community.
Celebrated
in over 150 countries, the Safer Internet Day theme is: ‘Together
for a better internet’. We are encouraging all Australians
to start the chat to help improve online safety within their communities,
and make every day a Safer Internet Day.
This year
we are supporting Safer Internet Day by helping promote safe online
usage on our social media chanels and newsletter via the hashtags
#SID2020 #SIDesafety and we encourage you to join in!
Help spread
the word and raise awareness. The first step to a better internet
is to talk about the potential risks and ways to avoid them. You
can host a Safer Internet Day activity or simply start a conversation
in your community about coming ‘together for a better internet’.
