Hello *|FNAME|*,

I hope you all didn't spend to much money on the Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales and still have some left over for Christmas.

With the lead up to Christmas be aware of scams based on the holiday season. Online scams increase around this time of year and last year, Andrew Williams (chief executive of the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network), is predicting a spike in criminal activity again this year, as the holiday period looms. You may think you know what you are doing but remember that no one is immune and if you have any issues please contact the National AntiScam Centre - https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/

Navigating the changing landscape of technology can feel like a whirlwind. In this fast-paced digital age, it's easy to get swept up in the latest trends and lose sight of what truly matters for your business. The key is to stay grounded amidst the chaos.

Instead of chasing every new tech fad, focus on understanding your core values and your customers' needs. Embrace innovation, but do it mindfully. Remember, it's not about keeping up with every change, but rather about adapting in a way that strengthens your business foundation.

If you need some help riding the wave of change while keeping your business firmly grounded then reach out to me at [email protected] to schedule a chat.

I will be posting out another email just before Christmas, but if i don't see you or you miss the email I wish you, your staff and family a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.

Until then, stay safe,

David Perkovic

Out and About

Here are some things we have been doing over the last month:

  • Our youngest tech Sean, is the one usually taking the photos. This month we managed to get a photo of him working at a data center.
  • David was training hard, completing courses on M365 security and Azure Fundamentals.
  • The techs have had a few big Friday nights with multiple jobs installing new network equipment across a few different sites until the early hours of the morning. The jobs have involved installed switches, wireless access point's (WAP's), HPE Storage arrays and UPS's (uninterruptible power supply).
Sean is usually taking the photos but we managed to snap this one of him working installing some network switches recently.
Here are some photos of Bevin installing a new HPE Storage array for a law firm in the Adelaide CBD.
Dave has been upskilling in both Azure and M365 Security, completing both courses in November.

The before and after photo when Bevin installed a new UPS (uninterruptible power supply) along with 5 battery banks. The top half of the rack are the servers and the bottom half are the UPS and battery banks.

With summer coming up, if you would like to protect yourself from power failures speak to us.
