Hi *|FNAME|*,

Welcome to our March newsletter.

Our hearts go out to the Ukrainian people and those with relatives and friends over there. The invasion of Ukraine will see an increase in cyber attacks. While initially these attacks are directed at the Ukraine, we will see attacks directed against supporters of Ukraine and all small businesses should be prepared.

One area we see a real need in improving security is with password management. We see a lot of clients keeping passwords stuck on post it notes, written on paper or kept in an unsecured Excel spreadsheet. If this is you and you would like to improve the protection of your password list let us know and we can migrate you to a secure password manager.

As mentioned last month, for all new M365 accounts there is a price increase starting this month. For current accounts this price increase has been delayed.

To help us improve our online public profile and help us to continue to grow and improve our business I would appreciate it if you could leave a review of our services on Google and / or Facebook. Please let me know or see our instructions here for more information on submitting a review.

We have recently joined instagram - www.instagram.com/dpcomputing so please give our page a like.

If you would like to catch up to discuss your IT needs or just for a chat, please let me know via phone (0412 973 503) or email ([email protected]).

Cheers,
David Perkovic - [email protected]

Out and About

February was a mixed month with one tech being down with COVID, moving a few clients to the cloud and setting up some new networks.

We have been busy setting up some new computer networks.

Here is one with a WatchGuard firewall and two Ubiquiti Unifi network switches - one of the switches provides both network and power to a number of wireless access points.

Ben, our data cabler, was on some roofs again upgrading some remote clients with Starlink Satellite Internet.

Only slightly bigger than the Starlink dish above :-), but Zee had some fun seeing theses satellite dishes on a visit to a client.

Zee performed some server upgrades in a data centre.
